Rape is rarely reported in Kenya due to stigma and a lack of faith in the police and the criminal justice system, although the country has strong legislation to protect children from sexual assault.

WOW aims to make known the sexual violence that still exists in the lives of many. WOW also endeavours to continue its prevention work, through the education of consent and abuse courses, through advocacy, and through seeking justice for vulnerable individuals.
